ITC SNOW (Snowkite Instructor Training Course):

ITC SNOW arrangeres av 4ELEMENTS Dato: 19.-23.januar 2011.

Prisen er 700 EUR / 5950 NOK + kost & logi. Kurset foregår på engelsk. Kursholderen( IKO-examiner) heter Kamil Peterek. Han utdanner både  IKO-instruktører på snø og vann.

IEC SNOW (Snowkite Equivalence Instructor Training Course):
Kurset er deg som er IKO WATER instructor og vil sertifiseres på snø også. Dato: 21.-23.januar 2011. Kurset går parallelt med ITC SNOW men bare de tre siste dagene. Kursprisen er 450 EUR / 3825 NOK. IEC deltakere kan gratis være med de to første dagene sammen med ITC deltakere, dette anbefales.

Påmelding  hurtigst mulig for å garantere plass, det er bare 8 plasser på kurset og vi arrangerer ikke flere IKO instruktørkurs i vinter.

Førstehjelpskurs / MFA (Medic First Aid) arrangeres 18.januar 2011 dersom du ikke har førstehjelpskurs fra før(maks 2 år gammelt bevis ). Prisen for MFA er 63 EURO.

IKO Snowkite Instructor Training Course

Instructor Training Course (ITC) SNOW

4ELEMENTS in cooperation with IKO International Kiteboarding Organization prepared international training for snowkiting instructors. The training gives the necessary education to be able to work as a snowkiting instructor all around the globe and provide highly effective and safe way of teaching.

IKO ITC SNOW

Five days training brings necessary knowledge and skills to get certified IKO snowkiting instructor level 1. The first half of the program focuses on theoretical basics such as aerodynamics, meteorology, equipment, pedagogy, teaching methods, etc. The second half of the training is focuses on practical use of the knowledge and presentation of the skills needed, while preparing the lesson and live teaching situations. Necessary feedback process, evaluation and tips are delivered and applied through the whole ITC for most efficient progress of the instructor candidates.

With the rising quality of IKO products, there is now more pressure put on technical knowledge of the candidates in areas such as meteorology, moutain and ice knowledge, aerodynamics, methodology. Important part for future instructors is also being able to analyse reasons for failure during the lesson and be able to find the ways to improve on their own.

Prerequisites to entry IKO Instructor Training Course IKO ITC:

• Be at least 18 years old. Kiteboarding/Snowkiting for at least 1 year and be a certified IKO kiteboarder/snowkiter Level 3 minimum.
• Have an IKO Assistant Instructor certification or provide an attestation (letter of recommendation) of a teaching experience in a water or aerial sport.
• Have a valid first aid certificate or complete it before the ITC with the IKO Examiner running the course.
• Have a driving licence.
• Know how to read and write.

IKO IEC SNOW

IKO IEC snow is mostly aimed at IKO instructors who teach on water and want to extend their qualification to snowkiting. IEC runs parallel to the ITC and IEC candidates have to join ITC group for day 3, 4, 5.

However, we highly recommend to all candidates to join full 5 days of ITC training as Funky Fresh Training Center and IKO works intensively on improvements of the level of instructors and new training concepts are also presented.

We do not charge extra fee for IEC candidates joining full course.

IKO IEC snow Instructor Equivalence Course is also designed to enable other instructors from organizations such as PASA/FEV/FAV, FFVL/VDWS/BKSA, FFVL to get IKO snowkiting certification.

Prerequisites IKO IEC candidates:

• a copy of Instructor diploma
• a letter of recommendation and proof of a minimum of 6 months of teaching experience.
• a copy of a valid first aid and CPR certificate.
• Have a driving licence.

What does the IKO Instructor fee include

• 1 printed IKO Instructor Manual
• 1 kiteboarder’s workbook
• 5 kiteboarder cards and feedback forms
• 1 Pro card (send by IKO to candidates after registration)
• 1 IKO Level 1 snowkite instructor diploma
• 2 years IKO membership
• Level 2 instructor fee, test and Level 2 instructor diploma (after passing the test)

IKO kiteboarding instructor Level 1 benefits:

• Have access to the Pro Area of the IKO website.
• Be able to purchase IKO Instructor Insurance for teaching kiteboarding. Be able to purchase IKO products at Pro prices
• Have access to the job opening listings on the IKO website and post a seeking employment ad viewable to IKO Centres.
• Earn Product Points by referring students to become registered members on My IKO. Post personal profile info online, which is viewable via the general public website .
• Become Level 2 instructor and certify your school as an IKO affiliated centre.
• Continue IKO career. Teach 4 students /2 kites in the air and certify their level up to Level 3 kiteboarder. Teach recreational powerkiting, max. 4 students.
• Register as an IKO affiliated point.
• Register IKO affiliated point or IKO affiliated centre, get posted on IKO web, sell insurance, organize IKO ITC and more.
• Have access to latest updates of teaching tools and manuals

Medic First Aid / CPR
